Let’s start a ‘mastermind group’

one idea i had after my epiphany was start a ‘mastermind group’ Have you heard of that concept? kind of open-ended ‘enterprise and being unlimited together’ kind of group. I think it comes from napoleon Hill. He knew a thing or two about what generates wealth, and this was his top secret: to get with others of like mind, and resonate together until you are all vibrating at a way higher level than you ever could alone.

At Kaiwaka magic mind lounge, and other locations around northland, NZ…

or also virtually?

A wizard revelation: BE one thing, then DO any thing you like

This morning was amazing. I woke up in the dark, as one does when worried. But this time it was different. I started to think, I have a ‘branding problem’ because I have too many strands (as shown by all my blogs), and not enough established ‘products to sell’. Then I thought, ‘Maybe I need to find some money and pay a branding consultant to tell me what the h@* to do with myself.’ Then I thought, ‘Maybe I know what to do with myself: be ME!?’ How would that look? Well, I would erase the complicated sign out the front of the ark which talked of secondhand books and other sidelines, (i already did erase it actually – that was the first step towards liberation. Is that a hot tip for jumpstarting your makeover? PAINT OUT YOUR SIGNS)

So, I thought, put in its place the sign

WIZARD OF EUTOPIA

Genius for hire

– or find your own genius

Or similar. And for the blogs – keep them all but add one called wizardofeutopia.com. Which funnily enough i already have. it is unused until today. and on that blog i will list my others, and offer all these facets for hire/sale/consultation.

SIMPLE!

How’s that, intrepid followers of wizardgifts? Find your chord, be it, resonate in every fibre with it, and let events unfold as they will – at least YOU will be ALIVE!

So, I hear the skeptics among you mutter (‘one of us does not believe, does not belong…  I will weed you out!’ as Hook said to his pirates!) – you ‘re saying, ‘That airy-fairy talk is all very well in lalaland where wizards hang out, but in the Real World, where I live, it just doesnt cut it.’ Or words to that effect. Well, SYNCHRONICITY: this very morning the phone went and it was an off-the-wall, unpremeditated offer for me to make something outrageously fun, for money, just down the road in Mangawhai. (but what is it? you cry. Well, i’ll tell: giant ferrocement rocks for children to play on in the new Mangawhai museum) .

I went for a walk in the little bush reserve here in kaiwaka, and sitting there in happy dreams i noted the kauri trees, and the birds, and poppy our doglet sitting beside me on the mossy seat, and i saw that they all have soemthing in common which we humans so often completely deprive ourselves of: THEY ARE ALL JUST BEING THEMSELVES. They eren’t trying to be anything different or ‘better’ to fit with expectations of their peers. They are all doing fine, as far as I could see. So, BE one thing – creative, or dynamic, or daring, or ox-like – but just BE that happily and the DO whatever comes – flows – naturally out of THAT. Simple really… Most normal successful folk do that i know. It’s people like me that have the most trouble, partly becaues of those other people, who put the wind up us and make us believe we have to be like THEM if we want to ‘make a crust’. Yet what comes without effort comes well, and pays well, if we only do it with conviction and energy for long enough. And if we meanwhile need a crust or two, hey, there’s always busking if we are a musician, or any number of crust-earning activities to get by on WHILE WE BE OUR ONE THING. So, close the door, paint over the sign thats not doing it for you, and walk away and BE YOU.

I am.

Here endeth the wizard’s sermon on the mount of kauris. Thanks for listening!

A New (Musical) Website on FREEDOM – Open Ya Dome

After my post on the perils of being multifarious, how can I announce yet another website from moi? Well, this one’s a collaboration with my son the musician the Robba www.therobba.com, aka robert Harris (who is, in our family, the one who stands for the value (and perils) of FREEDOM. He is now resident in the foyer of the Magic mind Lounge, and from there he can make videos, and music, and we can do things like this. We will get Open ya Dome Tshirts done by his artist/seamstress sister Xanthe (BEAUTY!).  And I will do a piece on FREEDOM for a passport to Liberty, to sell from there.

See our lovely new website here: www.openyadome.com and watch the video that started it all: Open Ya dome.

I also embedded a track from the Voyage of the Corvus Corrone, about Liberty, another great kiwi production in praise of freedom!

In search of the Lost Chord

Are we humans just too damned multifarious to understand urselves? Are we doomed to endless confusion and conflict?

I’ve been wrestling with myself. (Again!?) The many-headed hydra of the multifarious human. Divided we fall. Too many cooks (in one kitchen) spoil the broth. An old friend just visited and commented that he’d like to support and root for whatever it is that I am starting, but he’s never sure exactly what it IS… Too multifarious, too seemingly fragmented, too many blogs (fifteen now, give or take a domain)

Is this a problem I should burden you with? Am I such a small minority that I should just shut up, and like the people said to Jesus, ‘Physician, heal thyself’?

I know I am an extreme case, but the extreme cases are often useful to study – they can shed light on the less obvious manifestations in the majority. I ‘m sure we ALL have this ‘multifariousness’ issue to deal with. We humans are all multidimensional beings – even ‘normal’ people’. The Tree of Life/Flow Rainbow (www.flowrainbow.com)analysis (and process theory) tells us we may be at any one time operating at, or affected by, one or more of four basic levels of being:

The Inorganic: physics and basic chemistry of the physical – (eg gravity, mercury in our teeth) Biological (our basic drives like hunger, sex) Social (eg the herd instinct, the follow the leader instinct, the drive for celebrity, belonging, love, etc) and Intellectual (eg the interest in finding out how humans work (driving me now), how life works, how an ant or a galaxy works, what is good and what is bad, what are the categories of existence, etc). (I think the Spiritual is a combination of all these, and maybe transcends them. A bit like the ‘vanishing point’ on a painting…)

Then there are many divisions within each of these levels. Many biological drives and functions, many more social, and even more intellectual – level after level, division after division of rational inquiry. And most of all these levels and divisions are fighting for dominance or survival inside us.

But wait, it gets worse! If my theory is right, hidden within all these co-existing, and often warring, levels of being is a whole other dynamic with its own complexity: the logic of process itself. Every process of sufficient complexity has five aspects or phases : Input/receptivity/observation; novelty/imagination/guessing; Reaction/planning/logic, output/defence/testing, and status quo/stable systematic functioning.

EVERY process or entity, including humans. So we may prefer one of these process phases to all the others, and fight against the others, often unconsciously. A lot of inter-human conflict is aspectual conflict, disguised as hatred of a particular group or person who happens to favour one of the aspects of process that we (often unconsciously) resist. And much of the rest is inter-LEVEL conflict. So an artist may hate the policeman, and vice versa. But the artist is just doing their novelty thing, in response to new input, perhaps at the intellectual level, (and-or perhaps the biological or social), while the policeman is just doing their output/defence thing for the Status Quo, at the social level, in response to the logic/planning

aspect of society. In their own process zone and level, what they each do is moral and good; to each other though they can seem like the personification of evil.

I believe there is reason to hope that all this will pass, as humans gradually ‘get’ this bigger picture, and we learn to use a new ‘co-ordinate system’ which ‘places’ all individual processs in a level and an aspectual zone – and when we  see that there IS one multifarious Whole which evolves because of all these seemingly conflicting levels and aspects of our process being.  But we will only really ‘get’ that when we experience it unifying our own inner complexity, harmonising the discords. To find our own inner ‘Lost Chord’ (see the Moody Blues  album ‘In Search of the Lost Chord‘) is to do that, whether in full intellectual awareness or at an intuitive level.

Before his visit, I had one day when I listened to symphony no. 3 by St Saens while working on the prototypes for the physical desktop ‘flow rainbow’ (aka flowbow), and the way that symphony builds with various broken and seemingly unrelated themes, to a seeming conclusion, an anticlimax. But into the silence a single massive chord breaks forth, multifarious in its reverberations yet single and unified. Then all the other themes come back and are fulfilled and the whole goes to a new level before coming to a triumphant conclusion. This is exactly what I feel when I ‘see the light’, have a new unifying idea, understand a whole area of life in a new way. It is also what we feel when we feel ourselves suddenly unified after a long period of fragmentation. All the fragments take on new meaning and are connected.

Here’s to that near-miracle! Let’s seek to be multifarious – in unity of mind and spirit. Let’s seek that Lost Chord!

If this possibility stirs you, go to my flowrainbow.com blog click on the ‘follow this rainbow’ button. That’s where I will be ‘showing and telling’ about this unifying vision and method of understanding any situation or process, and becoming much more powerful in life and work. The physical flow rainbow, the questionnaire to find your aspectual and life profile, and the rainbow graphic for your computer desktop will all be there too.  See you over the Rainbow!
