“I AM, I cried” – now to be found actively at wizard of eutopia

Tennessee Moon

Thanks, Neil Diamond… Remember that strange passionate song in the ?60’s? …’and no one heard at all, not even the chair’… sounds like much of my blogging in the scattered outposts of my blogging empire 🙂

I tried to portray my own ‘chair’ at that time in a painting. It’s hard for a young human to have a clear coherent vision of themselves and the world they have found themselves in…

the chair of the artist as a young man reduced

Note the chair is a swivelchair – a sign of things to come? Indirection and vacillation? It still isn’t ‘finished’, either…

For those who wish to follow the uncertain pilgrimage, my swivelchair is now at:

I’ll probably keep this free blog up just for the history, but if you would be so kind, take a cybersecond  and click on the link above and go to wizardofeutopia where you can click follow and get the latest and greatest progress a little to one side of the 21st Century from the Great Anachronism of Kaiwaka, Peter Harris, aka the Wizard of Eutopia. Much of it will now be news of his latest foray, back to his future of 1970, when he went to art school – for six weeks. There will be sculpture, at least – oh yes, there will be sculpture… I just hope I will have the Time to create a magnum opus here at Cafe Eutopia…

something that makes concrete the yearning for Avalon and real magic in life and a new Camelot, a new Eden, and a Brave New World (in a good way – not another Dystopia, please! They’re so easy to do, and such a dead end, and have been done to death! – pardon the pun) summed up in an image of the Possible Human, Sheman, or Overman. What will that look like? I’m not sure. But the David of Michaelangelo inspires me that it is possible to make manifest a particular conception of human qualities. Also, in a less sublime form but heroic in scale, the statue of Liberty.

Intrigued? I hope so! It is the Age of surfeit, yet there is a terrible poverty of spirit as we consume ever more low-sustenance web gruel on Facebook and Twitter. It seems everyone is saying ‘I am’ online, but then the vast majority go on to tell us – what they had for breakfast! When we could be talking about the possible human, and the possible society which this new world makes reachable, if we could only believe it together and so talk and work towards it. To quote Nietzsche, ‘Astronomers of the Ideal, where are you?’

On New Things and the Balance

Well the making of the game Qor has been most-if-not-all-absorbing, and last week, still frustrated by the details of making the rules clear for ‘normal folk’ who don’t think abstract let alone process abstract, i realized something about commitment and balance: we naturally are committed to our ‘home zone’ – that part of universal process where we have the most energy and ability. For me this is Green zone – creating new ideas and possibilities and (often) prototyping them. When I have a project in that zone i forget all else, almost, sacrificing my own wellbeing and that of others of course, in the mad pursuit of the finish line which always seems so near and so often recedes maddeningly as one approaches it.

So, here is the latest version of Qor the game. I have put it to one side to catch up with many other commitments, some of which some recipients of this blog know only too well…

What’s in a name… What’s not? A rose by any other name? No!

I’ve just been looking at the story behind my name Peter, and all the connotations of it. Names are indeed compressed stories, myths in fact. All my life I have been Peter – named after the troubled disciple of Jesus who was a fisherman, who claimed he would never desert Jesus but famously denied him three times out of fear in the house of Caiaphas the high priest when Jesus was about to be tried…. And Peter means ‘rock’ – on which Jesus said he’d build his church. Etc. It ties in with the pre-Christian history of the name – a Petra was a standing stand, a threshold stone, etc. Associated with gates, keys, and roosters ushering in the dawn… I realized most of my life has been about being stopped at various thresholds, especially at the gates of the high priests of culture – art dealers, teachers and lecturers, editors… They all stopped me when I came to them, and I denied my own calling rather than negotiate with them – or overcome them. Hmm… ‘Peter’ as me.

I’ve been wrestling with this lately. Anne Hamilton who wrote a book called ‘God’s Poetry –  The Identity and destiny encoded in your name’ triggered it. Just this week I thought ‘What about my second name and also the name my mother nearly called me until I was born and she changed her mind?’ I thought, ‘Maybe I can let those names tell a story that gives me power to go through the thresholds that stopped Peter-as-me?’ So James = Yamin, the Right Hand or sword arm – power, and also right hand man. All good for beingpowerful and going though with things, instead of ‘petering out’ at or just through the threshold. Then, the name my mother nearly called me: Timothy. Honouring God (or, Honoured by God). This is a simple calm powerful name for someone who really wants to go to the higher levels and meditate on the Name – the concept and nature of – God, or the eternal Transendental Order behind all transitory things. It felt great to add this name to my self-story. No more being stuck with Peter in the courtyard of Caiaphas!

Hope this makes sense. What lies behind your name? What could you add to it and live into? Maybe the answer is in your second third or other names… Maybe also in your nicknames. Or maybe those are what are actually stopping you.

Whatever you do, don’t think a rose by any other name… A name is a story, and stories are what we live by.

OMG I just reviewed “The Alchemist”!

With sweaty palms I reviewed this review before pressing Submit on Amazon‘s Paulo review page for his most famous, best-loved and therefore with an inevitable symmetry, probably most-hated (by a vociferous, poison-penned minority) book:  The Alchemist. (See it at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FCKC4C/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title)

English: The Alchemist

English: The Alchemist (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Why did I do it? Because it is a way to offer my own homage to Paulo, after reading some of the awfully negative and spiritually benighted hate reviews there.  … AND as an experiment, because it is a little-known but Amazon-approved way to share one’s own offerings.  I added a link to The Icon of Ainenia (now with a new cover, and soon probably with a new title, The Sword of the Fifth Element). This is my review, soon to be allowed by Amazon to appear in the ‘recent reviews’ section of The Alchemist (which has of course had a huge number of reviews – over 1800):

You who wander in the Wasteland of this present time! Do your weary soul a favour and give this work a chance, by putting aside (post/)modern prejudices about what a ‘novel’ should be. This is a timeless spiritual parable, no, a nested series of parables, and as such is a fabulous gem that sparkles in a different way every time you pick it up with an open heart and mind.

I write this in homage to a great and true parable-weaver, who is subtle enough to be simple, cares enough to be direct, and knows enough to be, at many points throughout the book, simply divine, transcendent, eclipsing any deficiencies (including male chauvinism) so many of the reviewers make so much of here. They strain at cultural gnats while swallowing the camel of spiritual cynicism.

“The Alchemist” inspired me to write in the same genre a book which I venture (in fear and trembling at my own audacity) to offer to anyone who reads Paulo’s masterpiece and yearns to read other attempts at capturing some of the perennial wisdom hidden just beneath the surface, or in plain sight, within this world. Paulo, I thank you for the Alchemist! Here is my small homage to That which inspired you: [[ASIN:B007WCZBHG The Icon of Ainenia]]

You want to read my homage to Paulo? It has the advantage of being (I hope) non-chauvinist and also only 99 cents at present! Here’s the live link:  http://www.amazon.com/The-Icon-of-Ainenia-ebook/dp/B007WCZBHG/ref=la_B007SZAGA4_1_2_title_1_kin?ie=UTF8&qid=1344929805&sr=1-2

Will some of the poison-penned reviewers descend on me in wrath? Perhaps, but it’s a great feeling to offer public affirmation and homage to something and someone who has given so much to me. We could all do with giving heartfelt praise to those who really deserve it, even the famous ones who (seemingly) don’t  need it any more.

Putting out the open sign

The back and front doorways of the Ark are more or less complete, painted etc now. but the SIGN for the front – ah, what do i write on that? I am so many things to as many people – and to myself.
Last night I was in an elevated,  clarified sort of state after watching Midnight in Paris, where the writer hero gets to explore the idealised past, and has to realise that his place is in the present – that’s where he must create, and love, or not at all. I saw from that higher place that I wanted to have the cosmic perspective in all I do. Which may or may not need to be written on that sign. Jesus – the carpenter, to those he served and made a living from in his home town! (Assuming he was a carpenter like his father of course! But for the sake of the illustration we can assume he was…)
I felt again that the ideal for life here on Earth, embodied as we obviously are in the humble flesh, is to be as the burning bush in which I AM appeared to Moses – on fire with the divine energy, yet not consumed. Still a bush – but what a bush!
A balance of the fiery airy divine transcendent and the earthy watery immanent.
I know there are a dozen Shoulds and Duties (and people and banks who embody them!) that would tell me right now what I should be doing right now to earn my daily bread by the sweat of my brow. Yet that higher perspective is demanding an answer – What will I put on that sign? It is up to me, though every should wants to tell me it isn’t.
I put this halting journey up here, as it’s a journey that might entertain or inform, though painful for me! It is a journey of discovery too and a privilege – and a ‘right’. Just the constricted financial circumstances and pressure make it seem ‘wrong’.
Incidentally, what’s YOUR ‘sign’? Officially and unofficially. What’s written on the lines and what is between the lines. Which is most important? Should they be reversed? What if you wrote on your business card the things you DON’T say about what you do – and did them much more? If you ‘came out’? It’s a big question I know – we still want to be able to find an honest-to-goodness plumber, or carpenter – or book printer and binder. But more and more we are looking for someone to help us unblock our life energies, or repair the house of our spirit, or help us tell our story. Wouldn’t it be great to honour that more and see more business cards that had those things just as honestly offered?
So, what will I put on that open sign in front of the Ark, already?
Watch this space…

A wizard revelation: BE one thing, then DO any thing you like

This morning was amazing. I woke up in the dark, as one does when worried. But this time it was different. I started to think, I have a ‘branding problem’ because I have too many strands (as shown by all my blogs), and not enough established ‘products to sell’. Then I thought, ‘Maybe I need to find some money and pay a branding consultant to tell me what the h@* to do with myself.’ Then I thought, ‘Maybe I know what to do with myself: be ME!?’ How would that look? Well, I would erase the complicated sign out the front of the ark which talked of secondhand books and other sidelines, (i already did erase it actually – that was the first step towards liberation. Is that a hot tip for jumpstarting your makeover? PAINT OUT YOUR SIGNS)

So, I thought, put in its place the sign

WIZARD OF EUTOPIA

Genius for hire

– or find your own genius

Or similar. And for the blogs – keep them all but add one called wizardofeutopia.com. Which funnily enough i already have. it is unused until today. and on that blog i will list my others, and offer all these facets for hire/sale/consultation.

SIMPLE!

How’s that, intrepid followers of wizardgifts? Find your chord, be it, resonate in every fibre with it, and let events unfold as they will – at least YOU will be ALIVE!

So, I hear the skeptics among you mutter (‘one of us does not believe, does not belong…  I will weed you out!’ as Hook said to his pirates!) – you ‘re saying, ‘That airy-fairy talk is all very well in lalaland where wizards hang out, but in the Real World, where I live, it just doesnt cut it.’ Or words to that effect. Well, SYNCHRONICITY: this very morning the phone went and it was an off-the-wall, unpremeditated offer for me to make something outrageously fun, for money, just down the road in Mangawhai. (but what is it? you cry. Well, i’ll tell: giant ferrocement rocks for children to play on in the new Mangawhai museum) .

I went for a walk in the little bush reserve here in kaiwaka, and sitting there in happy dreams i noted the kauri trees, and the birds, and poppy our doglet sitting beside me on the mossy seat, and i saw that they all have soemthing in common which we humans so often completely deprive ourselves of: THEY ARE ALL JUST BEING THEMSELVES. They eren’t trying to be anything different or ‘better’ to fit with expectations of their peers. They are all doing fine, as far as I could see. So, BE one thing – creative, or dynamic, or daring, or ox-like – but just BE that happily and the DO whatever comes – flows – naturally out of THAT. Simple really… Most normal successful folk do that i know. It’s people like me that have the most trouble, partly becaues of those other people, who put the wind up us and make us believe we have to be like THEM if we want to ‘make a crust’. Yet what comes without effort comes well, and pays well, if we only do it with conviction and energy for long enough. And if we meanwhile need a crust or two, hey, there’s always busking if we are a musician, or any number of crust-earning activities to get by on WHILE WE BE OUR ONE THING. So, close the door, paint over the sign thats not doing it for you, and walk away and BE YOU.

I am.

Here endeth the wizard’s sermon on the mount of kauris. Thanks for listening!

In search of the Lost Chord

Are we humans just too damned multifarious to understand urselves? Are we doomed to endless confusion and conflict?

I’ve been wrestling with myself. (Again!?) The many-headed hydra of the multifarious human. Divided we fall. Too many cooks (in one kitchen) spoil the broth. An old friend just visited and commented that he’d like to support and root for whatever it is that I am starting, but he’s never sure exactly what it IS… Too multifarious, too seemingly fragmented, too many blogs (fifteen now, give or take a domain)

Is this a problem I should burden you with? Am I such a small minority that I should just shut up, and like the people said to Jesus, ‘Physician, heal thyself’?

I know I am an extreme case, but the extreme cases are often useful to study – they can shed light on the less obvious manifestations in the majority. I ‘m sure we ALL have this ‘multifariousness’ issue to deal with. We humans are all multidimensional beings – even ‘normal’ people’. The Tree of Life/Flow Rainbow (www.flowrainbow.com)analysis (and process theory) tells us we may be at any one time operating at, or affected by, one or more of four basic levels of being:

The Inorganic: physics and basic chemistry of the physical – (eg gravity, mercury in our teeth) Biological (our basic drives like hunger, sex) Social (eg the herd instinct, the follow the leader instinct, the drive for celebrity, belonging, love, etc) and Intellectual (eg the interest in finding out how humans work (driving me now), how life works, how an ant or a galaxy works, what is good and what is bad, what are the categories of existence, etc). (I think the Spiritual is a combination of all these, and maybe transcends them. A bit like the ‘vanishing point’ on a painting…)

Then there are many divisions within each of these levels. Many biological drives and functions, many more social, and even more intellectual – level after level, division after division of rational inquiry. And most of all these levels and divisions are fighting for dominance or survival inside us.

But wait, it gets worse! If my theory is right, hidden within all these co-existing, and often warring, levels of being is a whole other dynamic with its own complexity: the logic of process itself. Every process of sufficient complexity has five aspects or phases : Input/receptivity/observation; novelty/imagination/guessing; Reaction/planning/logic, output/defence/testing, and status quo/stable systematic functioning.

EVERY process or entity, including humans. So we may prefer one of these process phases to all the others, and fight against the others, often unconsciously. A lot of inter-human conflict is aspectual conflict, disguised as hatred of a particular group or person who happens to favour one of the aspects of process that we (often unconsciously) resist. And much of the rest is inter-LEVEL conflict. So an artist may hate the policeman, and vice versa. But the artist is just doing their novelty thing, in response to new input, perhaps at the intellectual level, (and-or perhaps the biological or social), while the policeman is just doing their output/defence thing for the Status Quo, at the social level, in response to the logic/planning

In Search of the Lost Chord

In Search of the Lost Chord (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

aspect of society. In their own process zone and level, what they each do is moral and good; to each other though they can seem like the personification of evil.

I believe there is reason to hope that all this will pass, as humans gradually ‘get’ this bigger picture, and we learn to use a new ‘co-ordinate system’ which ‘places’ all individual processs in a level and an aspectual zone – and when we  see that there IS one multifarious Whole which evolves because of all these seemingly conflicting levels and aspects of our process being.  But we will only really ‘get’ that when we experience it unifying our own inner complexity, harmonising the discords. To find our own inner ‘Lost Chord’ (see the Moody Blues  album ‘In Search of the Lost Chord‘) is to do that, whether in full intellectual awareness or at an intuitive level.

Before his visit, I had one day when I listened to symphony no. 3 by St Saens while working on the prototypes for the physical desktop ‘flow rainbow’ (aka flowbow), and the way that symphony builds with various broken and seemingly unrelated themes, to a seeming conclusion, an anticlimax. But into the silence a single massive chord breaks forth, multifarious in its reverberations yet single and unified. Then all the other themes come back and are fulfilled and the whole goes to a new level before coming to a triumphant conclusion. This is exactly what I feel when I ‘see the light’, have a new unifying idea, understand a whole area of life in a new way. It is also what we feel when we feel ourselves suddenly unified after a long period of fragmentation. All the fragments take on new meaning and are connected.

Here’s to that near-miracle! Let’s seek to be multifarious – in unity of mind and spirit. Let’s seek that Lost Chord!

If this possibility stirs you, go to my flowrainbow.com blog click on the ‘follow this rainbow’ button. That’s where I will be ‘showing and telling’ about this unifying vision and method of understanding any situation or process, and becoming much more powerful in life and work. The physical flow rainbow, the questionnaire to find your aspectual and life profile, and the rainbow graphic for your computer desktop will all be there too.  See you over the Rainbow!

Naming the Rose, manning the walls

I just spent an hour watching a talk by Greg Habstritt, from his website. In gratitude I wrote this comment there:

Greg, great! I am about to start something new, a school of wisdom and creative wizardry. Thinking of names, had been focussing on the what and how, suddenly now you fill me with a new emotion, yet of course familiar in other contexts – the emotion of my WHY. I am now yearning to communicate my WHY in the very foundational stuff – if possible, in the name itself. And like you, to attract people who give a damn, kindred spirits. Thank you – from my heart! – and i rarely say that 🙂

here it is:

http://www.simplewealth.com/2012/04/27/creating-a-movement-selling-hearts-not-minds/

Long, and yes it does have a business focus, but it applies to any cause or enterprise, and WILL warm your heart in the deepest WHY level..

So now I want to go away and go deep into the Why cave of my heart and bring out, if not THE name for the School, at least a list of the things that I yearn for it to be and do in the world.

What could we not make this world if we all knew our true mainspring and deepest passion, owned it fearlessly, felt it and  – communicated it? We would at least ourselves be truly alive, truly connected with people who – give a damn. Wow! Now that’s a novel thought!

What for a start, before going into the cave, can I say I care about most in this School idea?

– I care about the highest human potential and the ‘Possible Human’.  ‘O brave new world, that has such people in it!’ creating and loving and overcoming…

– I care about the unfolding and actualising of the possible humans.

– I care about the renaissance this would bring about.

– I care about the best in our culture – the ‘True West’ – and restoring the vision of what it is, and the potential contained in it never yet truly realised except in brief glimmerings.

– I care about its defense against the ideas, addictions, follies and forces that are undermining it as we speak.

– I care about the terrible, terrible waste that ignorance of our magical human potential is causing – the suicides of our young men who have their lives ahead of them and yet see nothing to live for, no hope or meaning. Gallipoli was nothing to this. They are not being killed by bullets or shells or poison gas, but by the poison of the decadent worldview of the present West, the relativism, ‘postmodernism’, consumerism and materialism. As the leader of  the atom bomb project said after the first blast, ‘The physicists have known sin’.  But way before that, the philosophers had known sin. And now the people, having absorbed their ideas by osmosis, are perishing in the Wasteland. (Now it is time to do penance, to start rebuilding the foundations, repairing the walls, and calling for people to man them. The West may be falling. Long live the True West!)

– I want to take some of those young men (and women!) who were falling – or jumping – off the edge of our world, and turn them into ‘wizards’ – those who know their true creative powers and have a vision of the meaning of the earth.

Do you get stirred by any of this? make contact! Let’s start this school, this movement! Or, if you just want what I am speaking of, come and be a student! Email me, comment here, let me know you exist! Oh, and if you’d like some fiction to inspires with this vision, and at all like my style or ideas, do get my Apples of Aeden volume one for only 99 cents on kindle:  http://www.amazon.com/Girl-Guardian-Apples-Aeden-ebook/dp/B003FMUXPM/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1335600380&sr=1-1

and if you like it, write a review/comment on amazon, and rate it with some stars. At the moment it is one of the best-kept secrets in the entire kindle cosmos.

If you didn’t get stirred by MY vision, what is it that does have that power to move you? Go, do that.

The Long-Awaited School of Wisdom and Wizardry

As promised in the last post, I will now jot down what i have glimpsed so far of the ‘once and future’ school of the perennial wisdom.

I was walking in Albert park by the university while raewyn did her psychology seminar. It is a mythic place, with great trees and a fountain in the middle. And lots of potential wizards walking and talking in it and sitting on the grass. Poppy the doglet loves it too. (Note to self: make sure it isn’t highly ‘illegal’ to walk doglet in said park.) I was intending to read ebook on ebook publishing, on my phone (how cool is that? Smartphones are like libraries too). But the trees seemed to trigger the inner conversation about the school. That and the flashcards Rae was talking about for concept learning in autistic children. We are all autistic, sleepwalking through life, part or nearly all of the time. To awaken, we need to see our life (and all life) as a limited whole, like a tree, with a beginning a growth flourishing and fruiting, and a death.  So, i got that the school can be simple. it can be like what it teaches: that life is a tree. So the school and the curriculum is a sign of itself, displayed fractally as a tree of process. But wait, said my higher self, there’s more! I saw how the tree of life Staff, the vertical axis of all humans, made in the image of the tree of life, gives us the two remaining pieces, added to the Five Aspects of all process, of a simple Diagram of  Everything:

1 THE STAFF  The vertical axis, trunk of the Tree of Life,  rests in the Earth, the Immanent actual divine unfolding. The Universe. Gaia.

2-6 THE ‘TREE OF LIFE’ ROUND TABLE  (and Game, aka the Wheel of Wisdom). The five aspects of the unfolding entity (ourselves, societies, all life) grow from and within it, and are of course part of it. the roots go into the Earth (Love and receptivity), the branches form the beautiful framework (Beauty, novelty), the leaves diversify and articulate the potential of the tree (truth, logic and planning), the fruit (Freedom, action, output, fulfillment) is the output of the tree and its reproduction and defense against extinction; and finally the Fifth Element is the sum of all these four dynamic phases – the status quo, growing and thriving in balance.

7 The staff, at its ‘crown’, links the tree with the Sky, the infinite Continuum of Possibility, possibility space. And that itself is contained within the Absolute Infinite (Cantor’s phrase) of the Neccessary Reality, which is logical and ethical truth. (As Wittgenstein says in the Tractatus, ‘Logic is transcendental… Ethics is transcendental.)

The curriculum simply traces these seven aspects of Reality, and can be drawn as a simple diagram of a staff and a table of five sectors. Then each sector and level can be explored in depth, as suits the individual. The Red individual will focus on the Red phase, the Green on the Green, and so on. Thus there will be five main Houses in the school.

LOVE: Blue House.

BEAUTY: Green House.

TRUTH: Yellow House.

FREEDOM: Red House

THE BALANCE: Purple House.

The other two, EARTH and SKY, I see as serving a minority:

Earth for the true empaths/poets/intuitives of the immanent divine, Gaia, the Goddess.

Sky for the natural mystics, the visionaries and prophets.

But all these must know and experiance that we are ALL needed, the Tree of Life needs all seven. That is why the school is a Wisdom school – it is about the Balance, all present and in right order, so that it actually works as life is meant to work, unfolding powerfully and creatively, not at war with itself, but synergising at all times in a constant flow of creation, love and beauty.

If such a Tree is to be demonstrated at this time of threatening chaos and the downfall of the West, it will surely be a School. A tree that the birds of the air and can shelter in and build their nests and weather the storm. And carry the seeds to the four corners of the Earth. Perhaps then there will be a new vision of civilisation, and the True West may return – or emerge from the ashes of the false. We have never yet really seen a true Renaissance. As C.S.Lewis says in That Hideous Strength (Christian but respectful of much pagan wisdom too i feel, and well worth reading), all lands are ‘haunted’ by their true potential natures. In the case of Britain, he calls that haunting ‘Logres‘. It almost broke through at the time of Arthur and Camelot (in his story), and when it does break through in any land, then Spring will have come at last…

If you are moved by this vision of the school, contact me! or comment here. Or come to the Story Ark and see me. Also, see my epic which has a lot of the vision in it, including (as I see clearly now!) the model of the school. In the Apples of Aeden it is called the hidden faery refuge and school of Urak Tara. The ebook of Volume one, the Girl and the Guardian, is now only 99 cents at the Kindle store: http://www.amazon.com/Girl-Guardian-Apples-Aeden-ebook/dp/B003FMUXPM/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_1

As to the How of it, at the WOW  gathering I had a great lesson from young Adam, who expounded the Why What Who When Where and How sequence. (and challenged me to state my Why and What there and then. It was Be a real wizard, know the wonders of it all and my own place in it,  and Teach others to be the wizards of their own lives…)

Note that the How comes last, and is not reachable at first. We have to go through the other stages first… I have got my Why and What, I think. And the Who in a way – ME! But there have to be others, of course! And I don’t know Who you are – yet.  As I say, if you want to go to this School, or help build it, or just follow it, help name it, donate books, whatever, do get in touch! For a start, subscribe to this blog. I will start another one for the School when I know what to call it… So meanwhile, this is where to come! (Now it is the 8th of May, and happily I have a name AND a logo.  And a website: Eutopian School of Wisdom and Wizardry http://www.schoolofwisdomandwizardry.com

here is the logo:
